Streaming Viewers Best Practices

AV For You is excited to be your streaming partner! We broadcast all streaming presentations on a dedicated fiber internet connection from our secure production facilities. 

The following are suggested steps that viewers can take to ensure the best possible viewing experience:

  • Whenever possible stream from a device that is connected to a router or modem by an ethernet cable.

  • Avoid screen sharing from a handheld device to a TV through something like Apple TV, screen sharing introduces a high likelihood of sync issues and lag. A device that connects directly to the TV via an HDMI or similar cable will avoid many of these issues.

  • Avoid streaming from smart TV apps, a laptop connected directly to the TV via a cable is a more robust option.

  • When streaming over a WiFi connection make sure other devices on the network are disconnected during the program to maximize available bandwidth for the streaming device.

  • Test your device’s network connection before the stream starts.

  • You can test your local connection speed at www.speedtest.net
